BRUNER

Henry BRUNER was born 1815/1816 in PA. His parents are not yet proven though a John BRUNER and Elizabeth WATTERSON from the Armstrong/Clarion Cos. area are a possibility. Around 1842 he married Ann PETERS, daughter of Adam PETERS and Abagail (FLEMING?) of Butler Co. By 1850, Henry and Ann were living in South Buffalo Twp. in Armstrong Co., PA. The couple had 11 documented children:

John A. (30 Aug 1843-30 Dec 1920) was a Civil War veteran, serving as a Private in Co. H, 6th Reg. (212) PA Vols. H. Art. John married at least twice, first to Emma ESHENBAUGH c. 1866. They had two children, Elizabeth, b. 1867 and Henry, b. 1869. No information has been located on the fate of Emma and the children. On 18 Aug 1875, John m. Jane GARVEY(15 Apr 1856-28 Sep 1918), daughter of B.W.S. GARVEY and Effie YOUNKINS. John and Jane had nine children:
