LUKACS

Mihaly LUKACSENYA (?-?) and his wife Anna HRASOK (?-?) lived in the vicinity of Kalusa and Klokocso, Ung, Hungary (now Slovakia). Their records are found in the Greek Catholic church books of Klokocso.

I have documented these children so far:

They may be more children.


Michael LUKACS (17 Feb 1871-3 Oct 1939) m. Michaelyne KOCZELYA (30 Mar 1876-30 Mar 1936) on 7 May 1894. Abt 1905 he immigrated to the U.S. and shortened his surname to Lukacs (Lucas). After he was settled in Smithdale, Allegheny Co.,PA, he sent for his wife and daughters. They arrived at Ellis Island in 1908. Michael and Michaelyne (Helen) are buried at West Newton Cemetery, Westmoreland Co., PA.

Mary Lukacs Pazics (1896-1988)

Maria (3 Oct 1896-20 Dec 1988) m. 23 May 1914 John PAZICS. They lived in Monessen, Westmoreland, PA.

Julia B. (19 Dec 1899-30 Jul 1983) m. 11 Jun 1918 Stephen Michael ANDRE. They lived in Youngstown, Mahoning, OH.

Helen (2 Oct 1905-30 May 1928) m. 24 Jun 1926 John Adam KERTIS Jr. They lived in MI.

Elizabeth Lee (29 Nov 1909-20 Dec 1987) m. John S. SCURLE 27 Jul 1936. They settled in MO.

Anna (1 Apr 1911-26 Aug 1986) m. John STEPHANIK.

Michael W. (9 Feb 1913-22 Aug 1976) m. Julia SHYCHUK 6 May 1939.

Virginia (b. 10 Mar 1919) first married John R. SHAW 31 May 1941. John died of injuries he received on Omaha Beach on D-Day. She then m. Charles SHYCHUK Jr. 27 Apr 1947.
